Here at Pattaya Dining Guide we sort the wheat out from the chaff in terms of the best restaurants in town, serving only the finest food. It does not matter what type of cuisine be it Thai, European or from elsewhere if it is good we will tell you about it, and in this blog we feature Da Marco.
Da Marco is an Italian / Swiss restaurant offering fabulous food, attentive service at reasonable rates. Chef Marco demonstrates his passion for food as he prepared all the dishes in the open kitchen inside the dining room.
Da Marco’s is slightly off the beaten path but for people that seek quality food in a cozy atmosphere it is well worth while to check this restaurant out.
Choose from a wide range of appetizers and main meals that include steaks, pasta, seafood, duck plus a comprehensive Thai selection.
There are some great crispy fresh salads and hearty soups that are on offer but if you want something a little more substantial then treat yourself to one of the great appetizers: Hokkaido Scallops, Soku Tuna Fish, Avocado with Prawns, Marinated Salmon, Mixed Bruschetta and Melon with Parma Ham, Beef Carpaccio, Beef Fillet Tartare, Goose Liver and King Prawns.
If you are really hungry then you could opt for a pasta dish instead of an appetizer or simply have a salad followed by some pasta for a great light meal. The choice is entirely up to you, and it will be difficult to refuse as the pasta dishes are superb.
Gnocchi, Risotto with Taleggio cheese, Ravioli with meat, Pizzoccheri with potatoes and Spaghetti.
Main dishes are divided into Seafood and Meat and are made with top quality produce from imported and local ingredients.
Seafood – King Prawns, Norwegian Salmon, White Snapper and Dover Sole.
Meat – Pork Fillet Swiss Style, Braised Pork Jowl, Pork Chop, Beef Tenderloin Stroganoff, Lamb Backstrap, Australian Beef Ribeye, Australian Beef Fillet, Skewer of Beef Fillet, Wagyu Rump Steak, Braised Wagyu Beef, and Duck Breast.
Along with all this delicious and varied Italian cuisine, Ristorante Da Marco offers great authentic Thai food, including:
Steamed Sea Bass, Red Curry, Stir-fried Cashew Nuts with Chicken, Spicy and Sour Soup with Prawns, Glass Noodle Salad with Seafood.
As explained earlier the one drawback about Da Marco is finding it, from Sukhumvit Soi 89 continue for four kilometers until you see the signpost Da Marco / Swiss Lake Resort on the right. Turn into the Soi indicated and follow until the end, there you will find the restaurant.
Dining out at Da Marco is a real treat and well worth the effort of finding, mine host Marco is attentive and his antics bring theatre to the whole proceedings. With the kitchen inside the dining area the smells and aromas permeate the whole restaurant and the taste buds start twitching.
