Hemingways Restaurant & Bar
Hemingways Restaurant & Bar is situated on Thappraya Road in the very heart of Jomtien. Hemingways is a new member to the Jomtien bar and restaurant scene and is very welcome indeed.
The old Shenanigan’s premises has been completely refurbished, and mine-host Mark is doing his utmost to bring his customers fine food and drink with excellent service. The interior offers the height of comfort with cool air conditioning and comfortable furniture, ideal to watch your favourite sport on one of the many flat screens, or to enjoy a meal with the family.
There is an outdoor beer garden for those who partake in a smoke whilst they sup, a free pool table, and many weekly events to keep the punters happy.
The menu is designed for those who wish to snack whilst they watch the footy, and to also have a proper three course dinner.
Bar Snacks & Sandwiches
The very comfortable bar stools are excellent to watch the live sport on the numerous screens dotted around, and what could be better than a snack whilst cheering your team on.
Currently there are six options on the bar snacks menu including: Cheese & bacon potato skins, Hemingway’s wings, Loaded nachos, Peeled prawns on ice, Black pudding sausage rolls, Beer battered potato wedges.
There is a fine selection of freshly made sandwiches starting with a char grilled sub filled with steak, onions, green peppers & cheese, the “Philly Cheese Steak”, or perhaps a “Hemingways Lemon Chicken & Bacon” club. Sandwiches continue with “Marinated Lemon Chicken”, “Tuna & Cheddar Melt”, “Meatball Kebab” and whole wheat “Cheese & Ham”.
A baked potato is a great way to fill up whilst having one or two beers and Hemingways have a great choice of fillings including: home-made chilli con carne, baked beans & smokey bacon, cheddar cheese & tomato chutney, steak & blue cheese with tuna & sweetcorn mayo.
Main Meals & Chargrills
Main meals at Hemingways offer terrific value for money and portions tend to be on the large size. Main dishes feature some pub classics: “Beer Battered Cod & Chips”, “Bangers & Mash”, “Crispy Skin Half A Roast Chicken”, Chilli Con Carne”, “Spaghetti Bolognese”, “5 Hour Braised Lamb Shank” and “Steamed Fillet Of Salmon”.
From the chargrill comes: “Homemade 180gr Prime Beef Burger”, “Sweet & Sticky Rack of Barbeque Pork Ribs”, “Cajun Rubbed Pork Chop”, “Australian Ribeye Steak 250gr”, “Australian Sirloin Steak 250gr”, the juicy steaks all are accompanied with steak fries, garden peas, onion rings, salad and a choice of delicious sauces.
If you still have room and can manage a dessert, then some classic home-made dishes are for selection. Including, brownies, apple crumble, banana split, and gelato ice cream.
Also there is a full kids menu and a great selection of authentic Thai dishes, so the whole family is catered for. Hemingways make their own pizzas, have a range of salads and make great Sunday Lunches.
Monday special is “Delicious Steak” night, Tuesday there is “Pizza & Pint” night, and Wednesday is “Curry Night.
Hemingways offer a great welcome to all their patrons, whether you are there to watch the live sport, or whether you want to have a leisurely family Sunday Lunch, the spacious interior can cater for all.
