Here at Pattaya Dining Guide we focus on restaurants and eateries all over the city, from Thai BBQ to 5 star gourmet restaurants and everything in between.

If you are looking for somewhere to dine for a particular occasion then look no further than Pattaya Dining Guide.

In this blog we look at one of Jomtien’s finest restaurants namely Natans.

Natans is located on Thappraya Road on the left hand side heading down to Jomtien Beach. It has rapidly become one of Jomtien’s best dining experiences and for regular customers it is a culinary institution.

The first thing you notice about Natans is the decor, tables are well appointed and there is a distinct period French theme about the interior. Old elaborately carved sideboards sit alongside unusual drapes with dark tables and chairs.

Natan, as you might expect, is proud of his French roots, his restaurant and his food all reflect this highly. The menu at Natan’s actually describes the restaurant as a “Thai and French cosy food bar”.

However, the description does not really give this eatery enough recognition. It is a French inspired delight, with other strong Mediterranean influences. The two “Specials” blackboards offer some enticing selections, and the menu features everything from Tapas, Steaks, Fish, Pasta and Thai.

The Menu

Natans is not pretentious, but the standard of the service and the quality of food reflects more of a fine dining restaurant, but the prices certainly do not. Everybody is welcomed at Natans, and there are no snooty waiters looking down at you if you use the wrong piece of cutlery.

If you fancy a good steak, then head to Natans, perfectly cooked to order and at prices that put the steak houses of Pattaya to shame. Fish lovers will also be delighted with the selection of freshly cooked fish in delicious sauces.

There are also some more rustic French stews and cassoulets, with deep slow cooked flavours and root vegetables to tempt any Frenchman with a beret and a scarf of onions.

Desserts are typically French, Creme Brulee, Chocolate Mousse, Crepe’s smothered in fruit coulis and other specials of the day.

Do not be afraid of taking your Thai partner with you as Natan’s offers a full authentic Thai menu, dishes are perfectly spiced and just as they should be.

Natans offers a fully stocked bar, with a good and reasonably priced wine selection. House wine is also available by the carafe or glass if you so desire.

Natans restaurant is a hidden gem, the quality of the food is exceptional, and considering the prices charged it is surprised it is not packed out every day. Give yourself a treat, head down to Jomtien and indulge yourself in a fine meal that won’t break the bank..
