O’Garas Bar & Grill
In this blog we focus on one of the most iconic establishments in Pattaya which of course is the Irish Pub, O’Garas Bar and Grill. This home from home in Pratumnak has long been a favourite of expats living in Pattaya who fancy a great pint and some great pub grub.
Patrons can enjoy a relaxing atmosphere in a luxury air conditioned environment, O’Garas is open from breakfast until very late with menus to suit everybody. In addition to the breakfast menu, there is a full A La Carte menu also with over 120 items on.
The choice is wide from soups, appetizers, salads, freshly cut sandwiches, local fresh fish and seafood, Australian prime rib, New Zealand lamb, pasta, Thai, Indian and a full range of sumptuous desserts.
There is nothing quite like a full Irish Breakfast which at 190THB is a bargain, containing 2 eggs, 2 rashers of bacon, 2 quality sausages, baked beans, fried tomato, mushrooms, toast with butter, coffee or fruit juice.
The Breakfast Menu also includes a selection of cereals, toasted sandwiches, pancakes, porridge and oatmeal.
You are more than welcome to pop in to O’Garas and just have a pint of Guinness and snack on an appetizer whilst watching a live Premier Football game.
The choice of snacks is varied with some real showstoppers including: Homemade spring rolls, fried calamari with tartar sauce, chicken coriander wrapped in bacon, pork or chicken satay, homemade chicken liver pate, and prawn cocktail.
Many people pop into O’Garas for some real Irish homemade food, and the specials menu contains some mouthwatering delights from the Emerald Isle, as well as hearty main dishes.
Chargrilled tenderloin steak, chilli con carne, cottage pie, pork steak, pan fried fish fillet, beer battered fish and chips, liver and bacon.
There also are the chef’s suggestions and for a few baht extra you can enjoy a range of dishes that will titleize the taste buds that include: rack of ribs with BBQ sauce, pan fried salmon fillet, fillet of seabass, slow cooked lamb shank, pan fried duck breast and Irish stew with crusty bread.
Patrons can also choose between a selection from the grill and also some top steaks including fillet, sirloin and rib-eye.
There is also an authentic Indian and Thai menu which deliver dishes that represented their cuisines to a tee.
Reservations are strongly advised at O’Garas as even in low season this Irish Bar and Grill is immensely popular. The establishment is easy to find as it is on the ground floor of Tara Court Hotel on Pratumnak Road.
