Sunny’s is a family orientated restaurant over in East Pattaya. Sunny’s has three dining experiences within the family entertainment venue: a Thai Isaan restaurant, a fine dining restaurant and a fully air conditioned bar.
Sunny’s starts serving food at noon and continues right up until 11pm and later.
The bar menu consists of all-day breakfasts, a full European selection, an authentic and delightful Thai choice, a kids menu, English-style Chinese dishes and a fully stocked bar with imported wines and beers.
The large comfortable bar is first and foremost a family restaurant, housing a pool table and multiple TV screens dotted about. The room is bright, airy featuring modern furniture that has been designed and built especially for Sunny’s.
Sunny’s is a family delight with a large play area outside featuring a paddling pool, a hobbit house, trampolines and many other great kid’s activities. Sunny’s also has a kids menu which is all priced at 95 baht. The dishes are homemade, not frozen or processed with a choice of pizza, fish fingers, chicken nuggets, sausage fries, and omelettes
Musing over the main bar menu, the choice is extensive and the homely European dishes looked delicious: Cumberland sausages with mash and onion gravy, Baby Back Ribs marinated in cola and chili, Lamb tagine Moroccan style, Steak & Ale pie with homemade fries or mash, And then there was the mixed grill, some restaurants have a poor excuse of what they term as a mixed grill, but here at Sunny’s it is a plate of discovery featuring: sausage, chicken, pork, steak, gammon, fried egg, tomatoes, peas and fries.
A full Thai menu is also available, with large portions and excellent produce.
The main dining room looks directly on the open kitchen, where patrons can see the gleaming new stainless steel equipment including a pizza oven, and a lava grill.
The service and presentation is first class with an extensive wine list that will not break the bank. The food is simply sumptuous and will have you salivating waiting for your meal, the produce is excellent and cooked to perfection. Steaks are imported and of the finest quality, whilst dishes like a thick lamb shank accompanied with buttered mash rosettes, and sitting on a lake of wonderful rosemary & red wine jus, highlight the skill of the chef.
The chef has worked with Michel Roux senior and junior, amongst other notable culinary geniuses, and the quality of the food and the presentation fully represented this fact.
So if you fancy a family day out, where your kids can play safely, without hassle and you can relax and enjoy a fine meal, Sunny’s is definitely the place to head for.
